Pantothenic acid (from the Greek panthos, meaning everywhere) is common in plant and animal products. It is a water-soluble vitamin, and cooking deactivates only a small amount of it in foods.

Role in the body:

< LI> is part of coenzyme A (CoA), which is involved in energy release
