Calcium Carbide 1kg BIOLABORATORIUM

Calcium carbide BIOLABORATORIUM 1kg

Technical information on chemical reagents:

• Chemical formula: CaC2
• CAS number: 75-20-7
• EC number: 200-848-3

Examples of professional applications in various business sectors:

• Chemical industry - Acetylene production: Calcium carbide (CaC₂) is used in the chemical industry to produce acetylene, an important raw material for many chemical syntheses and as a fuel gas in welding technology.
• Steel industry - Steel desulfurization: In the steel industry, calcium carbide is used to desulfurize steel. It reacts with sulfur to form calcium and sulfur compounds that can be easily removed, thus improving the quality of the steel.
• Agriculture - Fruit ripening acceleration: Calcium carbide is used in agriculture to accelerate the ripening of fruits such as bananas and mangoes. The released acetylene acts as a ripening gas.
• Research and development - Experiments and studies: Calcium carbide is used in laboratories for various chemical experiments and studies, including research on acetylene and other chemical reactions.
