Cascara Sagrada is an herb listed in the United States Pharmacopoeia XXII, where it is described as the dried bark of the Rhcimnus purshiana tree found in the Northeast Pacific.
It has excellent laxative properties and is very gentle at the same time. It only causes mild worming movements in the small intestine. As a result, it is unlikely to cause side effects (characteristic of other laxatives) such as addiction. DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
