Pickled products are produced under the influence of lactic fermentation, in the presence of Lactobacillus Plantarum , Leuconostoc mesenteroides and Pediococcus Cerevisiae . The probiotics contained in the silages promote digestion and have a positive effect on the intestinal flora, while vitamin C supports the immune system.
Celery originates from Eurasia and is a plant closely related to parsley. Rich in protein, which is the building block of tissues, and fiber, which improves intestinal peristalsis, as well as vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K, and minerals magnesium, manganese, potassium, calcium, zinc, iodine, copper, and iron, it is an exceptionally healthy vegetable that is definitely worth including in your diet.
Celery works well as an ingredient in various salads and slaws, and is also a great appetizer before a main course. The brittle, intensely flavored stalks are perfect for eating after pickling, yet they don't lose their valuable minerals and vitamins. Ribbed celery can lower blood cholesterol and is very low in calories.
