The coconut, from which the aromatic flesh that forms the basis of the chips comes, is the fruit of an unusual (coconut palm) tree, which can reach a height of 30 meters. Its leathery, spreading leaves, which extend their arms from 4 to 6 meters, also take on an impressive size. The fruit of the coconut palm is a well-known product. However, it is only in recent years that they have begun to occupy an extremely important place not only in the food industry, but also in modern diet therapy. Coconuts are round and covered with a hard brown shell with stiff hairs. Interestingly, they can weigh up to 3 kilograms. It is worth knowing, however, that the most important part of this fruit is its flesh and coconut water full of electrolytes, which is able to effectively quench thirst even on the hottest days. The flesh of the coconut is sweet and contains large amounts of medium-chain fatty acids (MCT) .
