The clementine is a type of citrus fruit, likely created by crossing a mandarin orange with a sweet or bitter orange. Native to Algeria, its current name was given in the 19th century after its discoverer, Abbot Clémant Rodier.
The clementine is a small fruit, easily confused with a mandarin, with an intense orange color, a slightly flattened shape, exceptionally sweet flesh and a skin that does not resist separation from the fruit too much. This exceptionally tasty and healthy fruit has a high content of vitamins - A, group B, C - and minerals - zinc, potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium and iron.
Clementine is a delicious snack and a delicious addition to dessert.
