Kaneka Japanese Ubiquinol is a reduced form of CoQ10. More than 90% of the total Q10 stored in the human body is in the form of ubiquinol. It is a biologically active form - it does not require any transformation in the body (unlike ubiquinone, which the body must convert (reduce) to ubiquinol) and can be fully absorbed by the body. In addition, ubiquinol provides a greater and faster increase in CoQ10 than ubiquinone. Kaneka's product is made using the natural yeast fermentation process. Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like compound that we produce in the body to ensure the proper functioning of the mitochondria in which energy is produced.
