DGL, or deglycerinated licorice, is a form of licorice root that has been specially processed to remove glycyrrhizin.

DESCRIPTION :

DGL is a special licorice root extract < / strong > deglycyrrhizin-free (deglycyrrhizinated). Excessive concentrations of glycyrrhizin can cause cardiac arrhythmias. The deglycyrrhizinated form provides all the beneficial active substances contained in licorice root.

Licorice root contains a large amount of flavonoids.

Licorice root is useful in diseases of the digestive system. It has an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and accelerates the healing of gastrointestinal ulcers. Licorice root also has an expectorant effect.
