Buckwheat flour, as its name suggests, is made from buckwheat. Buckwheat, a plant of the knotweed family found in the temperate climate of Eurasia, is one of the healthiest grains. Brought to Poland by the Tatars and sometimes called tartar, buckwheat is distinguished by numerous nutritional and health-promoting properties. Ground buckwheat grains have a brownish tint and are characterized by properties similar to the original raw material. In 100 g of oat flour, you can find more than 7 g of fiber, which supports the work of the digestive system, and 12 g of protein, which is the building block of all organs in our body. In addition, buckwheat flour is rich in B vitamins and minerals—magnesium, iron, copper, and phosphorus.
Organic light buckwheat flour is made from hulled, unroasted buckwheat grains. It is recommended for pancake batter, pasta, cakes, and crepes. It is also ideal for baking bread in combination with other flours.
