Lutein is naturally occurring in nature with a yellow-orange coloring belonging to the group of carotenoids. The "free" lutein contained in the product comes from marigold flower extract. The most important characteristic of carotenoids is their antioxidant effect (they neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals), lutein (one of the carotenoids with the strongest antioxidant properties) neutralizes free radicals that appear in the eyeball under the influence of sunlight and the oxidative damage they initiate. Most of the lutein accumulates in the macula - the structure of the eye responsible for color vision and image sharpness. Lutein (along with zeaxanthin) is found in the retina of the eye and in the lens.
Zeaxanthin belongs to the group of carotenoids, substances found in vegetables and fruits. The OmniXan zeaxanthin contained in the product is a patented carotenoid obtained from pepper fruits. Zeaxanthin is found in the lens and retina of the eye, especially in the macula, which is responsible for visual acuity. The most important characteristic of carotenoids is their antioxidant effect (they neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals). Zeaxanthin (one of the carotenoids with the strongest antioxidant properties), which is concentrated mainly in eye tissues, promotes the destruction of free radicals formed under the influence of daylight rays and the oxidative damage they initiate. Thanks to its action, zeaxanthin relieves the symptoms of eye fatigue and supports the vision process.
Bicaps Lutein comes in the form of a natural capsule made from pullulan. Pullulan is obtained through a natural fermentation process. No animal-derived raw materials are used during production, making the capsule suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The container is made from GMO-free, renewable plant-based raw materials.
