Fermented soybeans (natto) are traditionally consumed in Japan. It is obtained by fermenting soybeans with the bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis (natto). These bacteria, by acting on the soy protein, create the enzyme - nattokinase. Vitamin K-free. NSK-SD™ is a registered trademark of Japan Bio-Science Laboratories. In 1998, Japan Bio Science Laboratory was the first company in the world to isolate and introduce Nattokinase to the American, European, Korean, Taiwanese, and Chinese markets under the brand name NSK-SD®. The product is obtained through a patented fermentation process using the bacterium Bacillus subtilis natto. Japan Bio Science Laboratory is the largest producer of Nattokinase in the world.
