It is used for religious and spiritual purposes by Inca shamans and in Catholic religious ceremonies in Latin America. It was believed that the smoke-cleansing ritual would attract good luck, purify the aura , and rid the room of bad energy.

What makes Palo Santo unique?

It is a mystical tree whose properties begin to emerge as the tree dries and dies. It is only after a few years that it begins to mature and produce a characteristic odor. It has a sweet, woody, and penetrating aroma that provokes reflection. Its essential oil is used to scent products such as shampoos, perfumes, and soaps.

How does Palo Santo work?

Gives the room a beautiful, soft, woody scent that relaxes within itself. It relieves nervous tension, helps control current stress-related illnesses, maintains calm, increases self-esteem, and improves mood. It affects environmental harmony by restoring internal and external balance. Its purifying properties will drive away bad energies.

Can Palo Santo be used in multiple ways?

• Do you enjoy the sweet aroma in the air? Light a piece of dry wood and let the smoke spread throughout the room. To keep it going, relight it from time to time. After spreading the wood smoke throughout the room, place it in a container and let it envelop the environment with its unique aroma.
• If you prefer a more intense scent or are looking for a natural mosquito repellent > place a piece of dry wood on the hot coals in the incense burner. Palo Santo smolders longer and more intensely. It is also perfect for an open space. Place a piece of Palo Santo in a cotton or linen bag.
• Hang it in a closet or in your car. The natural woody scent will float freely in the air.
