Without research, it's difficult to determine a body's acid-base balance at home. However, urine pH can be approximated very closely. Measurement is simple thanks to the detailed instructions included with the papers.

Measurement accuracy:

Our papers measure pH with an accuracy of approximately 0.2 degrees. Therefore, they are suitable for detailed pH measurements, unlike most other litmus tests which have a 1-degree scale.

For example, the pH of urine is approximately 5.6 - 7.5. Using our papers, you can learn about various, even minor, fluctuations in pH throughout the day, as the papers can successively indicate the following values: 5.6; 5.9; 6.2; 6.5; 6.8; 7.0; 7.2; 7.4. Papers with a single-step pH color scale will only show a value of 6 or 7.

The papers can be used to determine both acidity and alkalinity. Measurements should be taken for at least two weeks. The papers are accompanied by a table on which the measurement results can be systematically recorded.

Accurately measure the pH value of urine:

Collect fresh urine in a container, tear off the litmus paper and immerse the indicator field (yellow) for about 1 second in the urine.
You can also moisten a litmus paper in your urine stream.
The indicator field cannot be touched with your fingers beforehand!
The indicator field changes color depending on the pH value.
The indicator color should be compared to the color scale within 2 minutes and the pH value should be read.
