Picolinic acid is a natural chelator and our body uses picolinic acid to absorb and transport certain minerals; therefore, chromium picolinate is very well absorbed by the body. It promotes the action of insulin by maintaining normal glucose tolerance, which also indirectly supports muscle protein synthesis.
