Knotweed herb contains flavonoids such as:
quercetin, hyperoside, rutin, and essential oils and saponins including ellagic acid. Thanks to these ingredients, knotweed preparations have a sealing effect on blood vessel walls. They also increase blood viscosity and thus help inhibit bleeding. Traditional herbal medicine recommends the use of knotweed preserves for excessive menstruation, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, and hemorrhoids. They can be helpful in combating spider veins, brittle capillaries, varicose veins, and swelling. The ingredients contained in the herb knotweed are also diuretic, choleretic, anti-inflammatory, and astringent. According to
Herbal literature, preserves (such as infusions or compresses) soothe diarrhea, inflammation, reduce swelling and even inhibit frequent nosebleeds.

Topical infusion compresses soothe visible broken capillaries and spider veins.

Knotweed is not recommended for people with thrombotic disease and poor circulation.

Directions: 1 tablespoon of dried powder to 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep, covered, for about 15 minutes. Drink 1/4 cup of the infusion 2 to 3 times a day.
