What is ground elder?
Ground elder [Latin:
Aegopodium podagraria] is a plant from the celery family. The name gout
is derived from gout (drop). It is found naturally in Europe, on the site
, in Asia and Siberia. In Poland, it is a wild plant that grows mainly in forests and thickets
along rivers. It prefers nitrogen-rich soils. It spreads very quickly, which is why
it is often considered a weed. What does ground elder look like? The stem can reach
meters high and its white flowers form spreading umbels.
