NOW® B-6 contains pyridoxine hydrochloride, a water-soluble vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 deficiency in patients treated with INH may manifest as paresthesias, peripheral nerve and limb neuropathy, limb tremors, ulceration at the corners of the mouth, skin reddening, increased hair loss, and hypertension. Vitamin B6 is an alanine-glyoxal transaminase coenzyme. Its deficiency causes hyperoxaluria.
