Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin. The human body is unable to synthesize it itself, so it must be supplied externally. Vitamin E refers to a group of eight different compounds that are divided into tocopherols and tocotrienols. It is an antioxidant that protects against oxidative stress caused by free radicals. It positively affects the nervous system and helps protect red blood cells.
Selenium is a trace element that is part of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which works with vitamin E to exert a powerful antioxidant effect. Together, they protect cells and neutralize free radicals. This action supports the immune system. It has a positive effect on the condition of hair, skin, and nails and can delay the aging process. Selenium also supports the proper functioning of the thyroid gland.
