Redcurrant, also called wild currant ( Ribes spicatum Robson), belongs to the gooseberry family and grows wild in Europe and Siberia, as well as a shrub that is eagerly cultivated in Polish plots and in allotments. Red currant boasts, among other things, a good amount of pectins that control blood sugar and cholesterol levels; it is also rich in water and electrolyte balance, potassium responsible for the conduction of nerve impulses, and antioxidants that fight harmful free radicals, supporting efforts to maintain health and beauty for as long as possible.
Juice pressed from fresh, organic red currants with added cane sugar.
